I missed Blogging Day!
By audhill | September 2, 2007
Reading Blue Skunk Blog, I discovered that August 31 is blogging day and that bloggers remember that day by recommending five blogs. I also read Doug’s list of things he did in August… very impressive. I think what I’m going to do is recommend five non-edtech blogs and consider what I’d like to accomplish this year … starting now.
Blogs to read:
1. Dumb Little Man - who is, btw, NOT a dumb little man.. this is a nice light blog with good tips on any number of subjects. I read him the same way one might read the real estate section, self help books or the funny papers. All the time, ritualistically, for fun and profit.
2. Zen Habits - Also in the self help category… Zen Habits is like a good glass of cold water, a very helpful reminder to get centered and back to basics.
3. Drawn - Best site for seeing illustrator’s work. Out of Canada (my favorite country to the North).
4. Indexed-Jessica Hagy is a cartoonist who uses graphs, words and venn diagrams to make commentary. witty and wonderful.
5. Fun Forever - Channels : art, bizarre, cool, funny, sexy, tech, web. Appealing.
Accomplish this year:
I think this needs its own post, but as a start….. Take more creative risks. Spend more time learning and less time surfing and dreaming. Be more focused and enthusiastic. Spin less and do more.
